Stanford UniversityThe Stanford University was founded by railroad magnate, former senator and California governor, Leland Stanford. It was established as an institution classified as nondenominational and coeducational. From then on, the programs that it offers have expanded and became renowned pioneers in different fields.

Stanford University Departments

  • Graduate School of Business. This covers the 2-year MBA program, 1-year MSx Program for professionals with a work experience of at least, and a PhD program.
  • Graduate School of Earth Sciences. This houses the programs on Geophysics, Geological & Environmental Science, and more.
  • Graduate School of Education. This includes programs on Curriculum Studies & Teacher Education, Stanford Teacher Education Program, and others.

Stanford University Application Requirements

Requirements for the different graduate schools vary but share some similarities which include the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited US university/college (equivalent US bachelor’s degree earned from a recognized university/college for applicants outside the US)
  • GRE scores that are not more than 5 years
  • TOEFL scores for applicants who do not use English as a native language (required minimum score vary depending on the program being applied to)
  • Stanford English Placement Test, for non-native English speakers
  • Letters of Recommendation

  • Transcripts or Academic Records
  • Application Fee of $125
